Dubrovnik is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Adriatic and even though it was a long boat and bus ride into town from Hvar, we were all excited to explore it.  It is a medieval city full of brightly colored red roofs and it is surrounded by huge walls.  It also happened to be where they filmed King’s Landing in Game of Thrones.  You can take a tour of the walls and walk all around the city and the coast to see some magnificent views.  We saw some grand old cathedrals and a synagogue in town.  But again, due to the season that we were there, the whole city had sort a Disneyland vibe to it.  Dubvrovnik was also the last stop for our friend Jean, so we said our goodbyes, when she went to the airport and then we jumped on a bus south to Montenegro.
